Biography

Tim Preston

Lead Guitar
Minneapolis, MN

Don't be fooled by Tim's apparent shyness on stage, get to know him and you'll find out he's very much the rock-n-roll lead guitarist you grew up listening and playing air guitar to...he’s just mastered the art of keeping his reputation to a low murmur. His love of music is based in the great blues talents like Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Robert Johnson who had an uncanny ability to write and play songs with such an emotional reality that they grabbed the listener and immediately pulled them into the life experience they were singing about. Tim loves that blues music has no real parameters and allows the player to feel his away around the song. In fact, you can find Tim most Tuesday nights sitting in with various well known Atlanta guitarist and practicing this art down at the Northside Tavern. The soul that is blues music is an edge the rest of the band loves that Tim brings to The Commitaphobics.

Also, don't be surprised if you see Tim with a different guitar everynight, though he has his favorites, he's always searching for that indescribable, mystical tone. Hmm...think that has anything to do with being a Commitaphobic?
